Yes, I believe I did use cake watercolors in this one. The tube watercolors are usually more intense simply because they are already more saturated.

Are these cakes watercolors or tube watercolors? Also, do you find that it is harder to get a lighter value with tube watercolors?

You can use Cadmium Yellow with a touch of Burnt Umber or Yellow Ochre in place of Gamboge Hue. You can also use Phthalo Blue in place of Prussian Blue. I hope this helps.

The downloaded video file is in color. Be sure that you are downloading the HD 720p version and not the original file. The original file is very large. What player are you using to play the video once it’s downloaded?

The first few applications were applied wet into “damp”. The surface wasn’t completely saturated. Typically, I’ll apply wet into wet applications early in the process before working mostly wet over dry. I hope this helps.
