Hi Nick!

Yep, it's all about dedication. Glad to hear that you're getting compliments. Sometimes it's those little comments that keep us going. Everybody has something that they are working on in life. Whether it be art or something else. We should all look for opportunities to give encouragement to others whenever we can. You never know how much it affects the people around us.

This has to be one of the most relevant blogs for myself yet. Lately with how busy life has been, I haven't been able to dedicate the hours and hours everyday to a landscape drawing or painting, or a portrait, so I have been hard on myself and almost discouraged as if I had lost all that I have learned, which in turn kept me from starting new drawings. Over the past month, I was out doing some military training, and I made a commitment to myself that I would either spend some time drawing, or reading my art book which taught me some more techniques for drawing, every night I was there. At times I just wanted to hit the rack and go to bed, but I made myself do one of the two every night and I thanked myself so much. People around me kept saying how my drawings were improving, and by the time I was home, I had learned a whole lot and continue to still learn. I will definitely be making drawing for a little bit every day a new habit of mine! If it was easy, everybody would do it. Thank you so much Matt for this!
