Joan,

I have done that, it is good experience. I have learned that the second attempt turns out quite different from the first. This gives me the freedom to not get caught up in and or frustrated that they don't come out the same as the first. A new expression!

I hope you will re-submit the lioness if you decide to paint it again,

Thank you so much! I really appreciate the support and suggestions. I may re-crate the whole painting for the experience. I have become kind of attached to the original and would love to try again.

Hello Joan,

Wow! Your artwork of this lioness is so majestic. You really captured the essence that keeps the viewer (me) engaged and wondering what she is thinking.

If by chance you decided to take some of Matts suggestions to enhance your painting I hope that you will resubmit it so we can see how it turned out. If I was going to enhance a painting like you have here I think I would use glazing. That way it can develop slowly and methodical. It would also be an easy way to get some blue into shadows,

Again, thank you for submitting your artwork so that we can enjoy your lovely lioness.
