Hi Teri,
I greatly appreciate your feedback and suggestions. I will definitely keep those things in mind on my future projects. It is always so helpful to have others objectively look at something Im doing. It was fun to combine two things I love and it's rewarding to get the support to try something unusual. I wish you all the best in your artistic endeavors and thanks again!
Best regards,
Catherine

Hello Catherine,

Thank you for sharing your artwork. When I saw it I was intrigued. I believe that thinking out of the box and developing creative combinations is really nice. Especially, like in your piece of artwork that is not done very often.

Personally, I think that this is wonderful as is, with maybe just the slight adjustments in the direction of the light. I believe, in my opinion that though some may sat it is heavy it adds to the uniqueness of your style here. I must say you have created a fascinating combination here. and as Matt mentioned, unique.

I understand why Matt mentioned the background. If you did something to enhance the space in the background I would make it much lighter so it looks like the coral is farther away creating more space. Another idea that might work is drawing the bubbles from breathing to the top of the page with the circles it creates when reaching the oxygen at the surface.

i see why someone would want to purchase this right away. I do hope that you continue with your unique style. It is so creative and personally yours. I look forward to seeing your next artwork.

Hi Matt,
Thank you so much for selecting this to critique. I was really thinking outside the box when I combined the colored pencils with the pen and ink. Your feedback is so helpful. Someone actually loved the picture and purchased it from me so unfortunately I'm not sure I have the ability to make those changes. If I do decided to do something else like this in the future, I will apply your insight and suggestions. Thanks again Matt!
