Hi Terri,
I think this little trash panda is adorable. I’m not at all surprised at how realistic he is, your work is always impressive. Is there a reason you would not be able to add some leaves to the upper picture plane for balance as Matt suggested? I’m only asking .because I don’t know the nature of the media you used. I think this piece is super duper. Thank you for sharing.

Hello Matt what a helpful critique.

I have been trying to do a graphite sketch daily in around one hour. i picked some to be challenging ones which I will do 1 hour extra, two hours.. Your observations here will be a great help as I go forward.

If you want to see a few of the practices drawings I have done I posted them on the forum.

Again thank you for all you do for us, I know it is a lot of work. Greetings to your family,

Thanks Matt for the critique. After doing this I’ve come to the conclusion that selecting a reference/ subject matter with a dark background is more dramatic and effective with this media. Unfortunately the other recommendations I can’t do on this piece because I’d have to add dark ink, and even the ink marker available from Ampersand is a different color of black from the black of the scratchbord and corrections over a large area would really stand out. But I’ll give those suggestions more consideration on my next piece.
