Hi.
I’m a complete beginner but really enjoying learning from you.
I’m not sure how to create depth and shade using different colours. You apply blue and copper beech. I tried adding orange to yellow for shade but it didn’t work!
How do I work out what colours to combine?

Hi C. L.,

The masking fluid is liquid frisket called “Misket”. It’s made by Grumbacher.

I tried this some time ago on my own. Now I know all I did wrong.:( lol What masking fluid did you use? You do a great job explaining everything. I will keep watching and learning.

This is stunning. I love the way the subject looks like it is bursting out of the painting by extending the drawn lines outside of the frame. I have not used my watercolour pencils yet but I am really looking forward to trying them out on this
