Both sides of the charcoal paper are suitable. The real question is would you rather have the laid pattern going horizontally or vertically. :)]]></description>

A quick question, I noticed that in order to define the shape of each rock besides shading it aligned to the source of the light, I also see that a very thin layer of unshaded space is left between two rocks. Am I visualizing this incorrectly or is this deliberate, as I’ve noticed this in other drawings as well? Appreciate your response.]]></description>
